Racing game

Old San Juan Kart

Old San Juan Kart is an arcade kart racer set in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Race through the blue cobbled streets of the old city, past the El Morro fortress, the city walls and the Puerta de San Juan, then take on a second circuit along a divided expressway from El Morro out to Hato Rey, where you weave through everyday traffic. Hop into corners to start a drift, build a mini-turbo as you straighten up and use items against your rivals. Everything in the game, including the textures, the buildings and the sound, is generated by code at startup, so there is no large download. It detects your device when it loads and picks a graphics quality that suits it, and on phones you get a thumb-steering pad plus gas, brake and item buttons. Play it in landscape on a phone, or with a keyboard or gamepad on desktop. It is open-source under the MIT licence.
